You Have Never Gone Away
The ache I feel in my heart
for you Travis
will never go away
I think about you
most every day
What can I say
one year later
when I rue that fateful day
I heard you went away
They came in their uniforms
to say
you were gone
How could they say
about you Travis
You will never be gone
from the ache in my heart
that is here to stay
You will never go away
Grandpa loves you
I’ll see you on the other side
some day
If there’s a way
