I don't know if either of my comments have made it through to you so I will start fresh. My daughter, Allison Scott, and her husband are going to Honduras on March 12th. Michael was there at the end of January with a group of dentists who saw the children at the orphanage with Sister Edith. He fell in love with Celia and has been going through Dr. Guillermo Enrique that goes by Quique to see if adoption is possible. Quique is a dentist in Comayagua. He has taken their letters to Sister Edith, but we are seeking more information on her and they will need help with translating when they are there. Can you help them? They want to bring gifts to the children, but need ages, sex, and sizes for them and how many children are there. 17? thank you for any help you can give us. Sandy Powers

Greetings. I have enjoyed reading through your blog. The reason I write is that my daughter is considering joining a missions trip to La Paz this summer, accompanying a group that has traveled there several times. I naturally, am concerned about the dire security situation in Honduras. Nevertheless, I want to respect my 17 year old daughter's ambitions, sense of adventure, and a heart to help people. I see in your post that La Paz is relatively free from the troubles, and am wondering whether you could shed some light on the security situation. Specifically, am wiondering where you fly into and the ground transport to La Paz. Is that a dangerous journey? Any answer would be most helpful. Thank you and best wishes.

Hi Joe,
Yes, feeling better. Definitely an adventure. I hope to be well enough to return to Honduras by June. There is much work to be done. I should be back to my blog-writing routine from Seattle soon. But not as exciting as Honduras of course. I'll be heading up to my family's cabin in the Cascades in a couple of weeks to enjoy the snow for a few days.
Be well, my friend.

H14 Health Project;

Saludos to all six of you!! It has been a pleasure to hear from, and about, all of you over the past 2 years. Only wish I could see the banners Jen has made. For all of you, they will always be treasured reminders.

Hola Joe,

I can't emphasize enough the quality of the citizens of our country who volunteer to dedicate two years of their lives in an effort to better the condition of those more unfortunate than themselves. I am proud to have served with my companeros. We have laughed and cried together and stuck together through thick and thin. I feel honored to have been a part of their lives.
